Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Bomnae-gil Course 7 is a walking course along the 2.1 km old railway track connecting the former Gangchon Station and the former Baegyang-ri Station, part of the Gyeongchun Line that opened in 1939. The former Baegyang-ri Station is located on a riverside with a wide plain, offering excellent scenery, and is currently the only island-type station in Korea, along with Paldang Station on the Jungang Line, where the station building stands on the platform. Following a valley in the middle of the course, you will reach Madangjae, a wide and flat area reminiscent of the yards where slash-and-burn farmers lived in the 1960s and 1970s.
