Chuncheon Myeongdong Street is a bustling downtown area similar to Seoul's Myeongdong, with government offices such as the Gangwon Provincial Office and Chuncheon City Hall, as well as major banks located nearby. The street is densely packed with various shops including clothing stores, cosmetics shops, shoe stores, cafes, and restaurants. In the central street, there is a monument commemorating the filming location of the drama 'Winter Sonata'. There are various cultural and shopping facilities such as M Department Store, Brown 5th Avenue, and a movie theater, and a large underground shopping mall with over 350 stores is located beneath the central rotary. Centered around Myeongdong, Dakgalbi Alley, Yukrim Hill, and Chuncheon Central Market are connected, offering a variety of activities.
