Yoon Dongju Literary Museum

Poet Yoon Dongju is said to have often climbed Inwangsan Mountain and refined his poetic inspiration in nature while boarding with his literary friend Jeong Byeong-wook at the house of novelist Kim Song (1909–1988) in Nusang-dong, Jongno-gu, during his time as a student in the Department of Literature at Yonhi College. His representative works, including "The Night of Counting Stars," "Self-Portrait," and "Another Hometown," were created during this period.

The Yoon Dongju Literary Museum was established in 2012 to remember the footsteps of Yoon Dongju, a beloved national resistance poet, and his perspective toward the world. It is a meaningful remodeling of the abandoned Cheongun Water Booster Station and water tanks at the foot of Inwangsan Mountain. It won the Korea Public Architecture Award in 2012 and the Seoul Architecture Award in 2014, and was designated as a patriotic facility in 2015, drawing attention to both the value of the space and its significance.
