Bonhwarang

Bonhwarang opened in 1988 in Gwanhun-dong, the current Insa-dong Cultural Street in Seoul. It pursues mature works centered on senior and established artists, while also aiming to approach the public with a more youthful, modern, and sensuous image through the discovery of new artists. It actively engages in activities such as curated exhibitions of famous artists, thematic exhibitions with various stories and fun, and small meetings filled with dreams and love, fulfilling its role and function as a traditional gallery through careful artist selection, artwork management, and customer service. It has also contributed to the development and expansion of the Korean art market by discovering and introducing new and regional artists and supporting group exhibitions of various art organizations. Since 1997, it has established a permanent exhibition space for Baek-san Kim Jeong-ok, the only national intangible cultural heritage ceramic artist, and his disciple Woo-nam Kim Gyeong-sik, widely promoting the beauty and excellence of traditional Korean ceramics.
